Frontline Test Equipment, Inc. is pleased to announce the newest member of the ComProbe family of protocol analyzers the ComProbe BPA 600 Dual Mode Bluetooth Protocol Analyzer. This portable, entirely USB powered, dual mode Bluetooth analyzer make it easier than ever to capture Bluetooth communications and introduces the flexibility of role-less connections. And, the ComProbe BPA 600 analyzer sets the stage for future success with full support of the upcoming Bluetooth 4.1 specification (estimated August 2013).
For years, Frontline has been providing Bluetooth developers the tools they need to help them do their jobs better, build innovative products, and keep their customers happy. Until now Dual Mode Bluetooth protocol analysis (sniffing either Classic Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy, or both) has been confined to the lab. This is primarily because of the need for AC power but those days are gone. Not much bigger than a cell phone, the ComProbe BPA 600 Dual Mode Bluetooth Protocol Analyzer is small and portable. It has all the ability of its AC powered siblings but requires only a USB cable plugged into a laptop to get the job done.
We are very excited about the new ComProbe BPA 600 analyzer. says David Bean, Frontline President. Role-less single connections make it easier to use no more need to identify master or slave, just start sniffing. And, with its small footprint and USB power you can take it where ever you need to go.
Frontline uses a modular approach to protocol analysis. All ComProbe analyzers use the same powerful ComProbe software. Select analyzers come with ProbeSync technology allowing two or more analyzers to be connected together to share a common clock. Connect a ComProbe BPA 600 analyzer with a ComProbe 802.11 analyzer and see Bluetooth/Wi-Fi coexistence. Extend analysis with custom decodes easily written using DecoderScript code, or add automation to make testing easier.
